The purpose of this CMA program is to prepare to students to assist physicians by performing functions related to the clinical aspects of a medical office. Many CMAs go on to other roles in healthcare, including Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Registered Nurses (RN), and Physician’s Assistants (PA).

 

Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA)

Jeremi College's Clinical Medical Assistant program is designed to prepare students to function as professionals in multiple healthcare settings. Medical Assistants with a clinical background perform various clinical tasks including assisting with the administration of medications with minor procedures, performing an EKG electrocardiogram, obtaining laboratory specimens for testing, educating patients, and other related tasks. Job opportunities are prevalent with physicians' offices, clinics, chiropractor's offices, hospitals and outpatient facilities.

 

Phlebotomy Technician

Phlebotomy technicians work in a variety of settings. They may work exclusively in a single hospital or clinic, or they may travel frequently to patients’ homes or a variety of clinics and locations to draw blood. They work alongside other medical professionals as well, providing samples for testing or blood for transfusions or research.

Employment for phlebotomy is projected to grow 10 percent from 2021 to 2031, faster than the average for all occupations. About 21,500 openings for phlebotomists are projected each year, on average, and the median annual wage for phlebotomists was $37,380 in May 2021.

 

Clinical Medical Assisting Technologist

This course provides the opportunity for students to gain stackable credentials as Certified Medical Assistants,

Certified Phlebotomy Technician and Certified Electronic Health Records Specialist. CMAs are sought after in the healthcare sector and attaining the additional stackable credentials makes the job outlook even better. Upon CMA course completion, students enroll in and complete the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) Exam.

 

CompTIA A+

At Jeremi College, we believe that the future is now. That is why we are creating Information Technology courses so our students are prepared for career paths in the information technology sector.

​We offer a variety of programs suitable for every learning type and level. Our 12-week course is designed to give you the skills and the knowledge you need to thrive in your IT career. CompTIA A+ core 1 and core 2 exams included. Students are prepped to take both exams.

 

Computer Support Specialist

The Jeremi College Computer Support Specialist program is a combination of the CompTIA A+, Network + certifications, and work-based learning as a field technician.

The program’s duration is 24 weeks, 600 clock hours split into 3 parts; the first part covers topics in the Core 1 A+ exam ranging from Mobile Devices, Networking, Hardware, Virtualization and Cloud Computing, and Hardware and Network Troubleshooting. Students attend exam practice sessions and take the core 1 exam.

 

Pharmacy Technician

Our Pharmacy Technician program offers a comprehensive exploration of pharmaceutical care covering medication dispensation, regulatory compliance, patient interaction, and more. Students develop expertise in drug classification, dosage forms, and medication therapy management through interactive learning and real-world simulations.

Upon completion, graduates are prepared for the NHA certification exam and equipped to excel in professional pharmaceutical settings, contributing to safe and effective patient care.
