Education & Certification

  • Those interested in the CompTIA A+ program should have or be pursuing a high school diploma or GED

  • Students who complete this comprehensive course will receive CompTIA A+ certification and can leverage that into a career in Information Technology services

Detailed Course Topics Covered

  • Identifying, using, and connecting hardware components and devices

  • Install & support Windows OS including command line & client support. Understand Mac OS, Linux & mobile OS

  • Troubleshoot PC and mobile device issues including application security support

  • Explain types of networks and connections including TCP/IP, WIFI and SOHO

  • Troubleshoot device and network issues

  • Identify and protect against security vulnerabilities for devices and their network connections

  • Install & configure laptops and other mobile devices

  • Compare & contrast cloud computing concepts &set up client-side virtualization

  • May apply and sit for the certification exam in pursuit of earning the CompTIA A+ credential
